Maury, of the Coldwater Kiwanis club, lauded Cindy May for single handedly canvassing 43 persons and collecting $215.00 for the "Walk the Magic Mile" event. Congratulations, Cindy.

 

This months speaker was Wyatt Boley, the owner and operator of the Lake City Creamery. He spoke about how the blue green algae that pollutes the lake got him into starting the ice cream business located on State route 29 just West of Celina. He has 43 different kinds of ice cream all locally manufactured on site. Besides ice cream he can also produce ice cream pies and cakes. His Winter hours are Monday thru Thursday 4 to 9 PM and weekends noon until 9 PM.

13 Aktion Club members went to the Zoo in Fort Wayne, Indiana in September and had a very good time.

 

George Kornegor pinned the latest new Aktion Club Member, Dan Will.

In lieu of a regular meeting tonight was a special presentation by Alan Seibert "The Music Man". Alan was fantastic and performed uninterrupted for two hours. Everyone was very excited and even Briarwood residents enjoyed it.

Eric C. Thomas

Today's speaker was Eric Thomas, the Coldwater village manager and engineer.

Eric spoke about the process of cleaning and lining the cities sewer lines to extend their useful service for 50 years and beyound. This process is done without having to dig up the old sewer. The village has received a large grant from the state of Ohio to help defray the costs. In addition to the sewer per se, the manholes will also be receiving a lining.
