Saturday, October 18, Aktion Club celebrates its 10th anniversary. More information to come.

Kelly Kornegor asked the members present if they would like to visit a museum and, if so, which one. She named the Annie Oakley Museum in Greenville, Air Force Museum in Dayton, and several others. The one that had the majority of votes was the Neil Armstrong Museum in Wapakoneta. A date has not yet been set for the visit.

Each member was asked to sell 12 raffle tickets to raise money for the planned scholarship fund.

Immediate Past President, Stacy Heitkamp, was honored with a plaque for her two year service as president of the Mercer County Aktion Club.

Scott Ault, a member of the Coldwater Kiwanis Club, spoke to us about his job as a corporate pilot. During his 41 year career he has flown corporate jats fpr DP&L, Elder Beerman, and Huffy to name a few. He presently flies a Dassault Falcon 2000 belonging to a wealthy Dayton widow. He presented a slide show depicting a recent 3 week round-trip from Dayton to Cape Town in south Africa with stops in the Azores, Malta, Egypt and Zanzibar.

The next regular meeting of the Mercer County Aktion Club will be at 6 pm on May 8, 2014 at the Briarwood in Coldwater.
